Transcript of Weldon E. Warnock’s Radio Program (3-28-04)

…That’s the Beech Creek church of Christ in Mingo County.

Now so far I haven’t gotten any response from the preacher in Southern WV about the misrepresentations, which means, ladies and gentlemen, that I made none. There’s just not any. I didn’t misrepresent anybody about this and they know that, he knows that. He can’t get me any.

And then another thing: I want to call your attention once again to the fact that this brother began this on his website, not me. He revived this. And here I stated something back in 1985 and first, March of 1986 an exchange with my good friend who lives, preaches down in Murfreesboro, TN. And we’re still good friends. And I talked to him not too long ago and that was all there was to it. And then this brother brings it up after all those years and talks about me then reviving it and perpetuating it. And that’s just not true. He brought it up, he perpetuated it, and he needs to take it off and let it lie, let it go, and let’s get on with the business of preaching the gospel to the world, ladies and gentlemen. He’s the one who’s in the driver’s seat, right now, as far as taking care of this, removing that. But, he revived it, he brought it up and he’s the one who can take it off and we’ll move on. And I haven’t heard anything about any public discussion. So, evidently, he don’t want any ha, ha, public discussion. And I suppose if I had that position, I wouldn’t be too eager to defend it either, ‘cause it’s indefensible in my opinion. And I’d sure like to have the opportunity to show the weaknesses of it. But, don’t want to do that. Can’t even get together and study and let us see what the word of the Lord teaches.

Well, we’re going to have another song and then we’re going to get into our message for tonight, The Gospel for Our Times. Hope you can stay with us, but now let’s listen to this beautiful hymn.
